This week's Sunday Scribblings prompt, "spicy", inspired me to write a haiku triplet. While there is much to say about spices, like spices themselves, a little goes a long way.
Wasabi rapture:
Green dragon exhales full blast —
I cry spring rain, laugh.
Jalapeño sting —
Fiery oil brought shouts, screams, and
Pleas for soothing snow.
Ground black pepper dust
Dances, settling into cream,
Charging it with bite.
For more spicy writing, check out this week's Sunday Scribblings.
Excellent post. Your haiku has me suddenly craving all three. There are few things finer than cleansing the pallet with pickled ginger after savoring spicy scallop sushi with a dab of wasabi.

These are fabulous haiku! The second one reminds me a dish prepared by Ethiopian friends. I took one bite and my mouth was on fire. I drank an entire glass of water. But I love spicy foods.

Herb — Wasabi and ginger. Enough said. ;)
gautami — Your comment has inspired me to pick out a few more spices and write some more haiku.
Paris Parfait — Thank you! I would love to know what spice in the Ethiopian food caused such fire.
Tammy — Hello, Daily Warrior! Thanks for enjoying all the spice. xxoo

Kristin -
Those were great! ;)
Wasabi will clear your sinuses -- instantly!
habanero's flame
torrents of free flowing tears
ice cream in summer
I enjoyed your post... thank you!

KG,
I see that your talent at haiku hasn't abated. Your words are tangy ang bring memories of firey culinary encounters of the past.
If you ever encounter "Dave's Insanity Sauce"...remember, one drop or less. ;-)
